I have always liked to try and expand my horizons as often as possible and this obviously includes travel. Whenever I am able to go on holiday I always like to try and go somewhere new. Obviously you can achieve a good amount of self improvement by reading about places, and the source of a lot of knowledge for me comes from books but I really don’t think there can be a substitute for actually seeing somewhere with your own eyes. It helps to develop your own critical criteria, and if you ever reach the lucky position of having been to many different places then this will help you to understand other places that you are yet to travel to, because you will be able to draw parallels between the place you are reading about and the places you have already been.

Most of the holidays I have been on in the past have been located in Europe but this year I have a little more money so I am going to be able to travel a little further afield. With the money I have at my disposal, I have managed to find flights to Cairo so a trip to Egypt is on the cards. From what I have read it is a fascinating country and I can’t wait to start my explorations. The plane leaves in two weeks time and this will give me just enough time to research the best buts to see!

When planning your trip, consider Malaga weather. The weather in Malaga Spain is favourable most of the year. The summers are hot and dry. The winters are mild with no snow. The spring and autumn are warm. The sun shines most days of the year in this city. There is some rain in the autumn and winter, compared to summer.

Consider what you want in your vacation when planning your trip. Do you want the heat and sunshine of summer? This is the most popular time to visit, but does get very hot. If you want to enjoy the sun, but don’t want the hot temperatures, you may want to consider travelling in spring or early autumn. Winter is nice here and is perfect for escaping the cold and snow of other areas.

Malaga Weather in Spring and Summer

Spring is a nice time to visit the Costa del Sol. The temperatures are warm, but not too hot. The average high temperature in the day time ranges from 18 to 24 degrees Celsius. The average night time temperature is between 9 and 15 degrees.

There isn’t much rain in the spring time. The average monthly rainfall ranges from about 60 mm in March to 20 mm per month in May. The warm temperatures and infrequent rain make spring a good time to enjoy golf and other outdoor activities. If you want to avoid the heat of summer, consider planning your vacation for spring.

The summer is the most popular time to visit the Costa del Sol. The summer season begins in June with burning sunshine and high heat. The sunshine is nearly unbroken in this month. You will enjoy cooler breezes by the sea. Pay close attention to your skin. Sunburn is worst in June. Be sure to apply sunscreen frequently when spending time outside.

In July, it rains very rarely. The temperature gets hot during the day, but drops at night. On very hot days, the temperature can climb to 40 degrees Celsius (104 F). A cool breeze at night helps cool things off, until the heat of the next day. Toward the end of July, the humidity level increases.

August is the hottest month in Malaga. There is more humidity than in either June or July. There is occasional sea fog that can make the city feel like a sauna. Heat spells of 40 degrees Celsius during the day and 30 at night are not unusual. There are the occasional thunderstorms in August. Most occur at night and they are more frequent in the later part of the month.

Malaga Weather in Autumn and Winter

Autumn remains warm in this region. The average daily temperatures in autumn range from 19 to 28 degrees during the day time. The temperatures in September are warmest and gradually cool through October and November. At night, the temperatures drop to between 11 and 19 degrees Celsius.

There is a bit more rain in the autumn, compared to the summer. The rainfall ranges from about 16 mm per month in September to about 90 mm per month in November. There is more rain in the later autumn, with about six rainy days typical in the month of November.

The winter months have the most rainy days in this region. Most days are still not rainy, with rain falling only about six or seven days out of each month. This can vary by year, with some years having more rain than others. In general, most days during the winter are still sunny. Snow is extremely rare.

The temperatures in the winter are very mild. The average day time temperature ranges between 15 to 18 degrees Celsius. The temperatures drop at night to between 7 and 9 degrees. The mild temperatures in winter make this area a great place to visit for people wanting to escape the freezing temperatures of Northern Europe.

Cancun is certainly the most luxurious destination in the Mexican Caribbean. Offering all of the finer things in life, the Hotel Zone and downtown areas of Cancun are brimming with top notch entertainment and relaxation opportunities. With everything from couture shopping to gourmet dining and exquisite spa treatments, Cancun is the place to indulge and treat yourself like royalty.

With the splendor of the Mexican Caribbean in the background, Cancun spas and resorts blend traditional Mayan techniques with innovative technology. Therapeutic treatments, such as thalassotherapy ? the use of seawater to relax and rejuvenate ? and traditional hot stone massage, offer guests the opportunity to decompress at the beginning or end of a Cancun vacation. Many spas also utilize a stunning assortment of sea greens, herbs and minerals indigenous to the region in their treatments. Furthermore, despite the top-tier quality of these spas and resorts, spa visits in Cancun are generally much less expensive than comparable trips to destination spas in the United States.

Cancun also boasts the largest spa in all of Latin America, the three-level, 35,000 square foot paradise at JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa. Additionally, the JW Marriott Resort and Spa was recently rated as a top 5 Latin American spa by Travel and Leisure Magazine. Offering a full range of Mayan-inspired treatments, incorporating materials such as crystal, stone, mud, exotic fruit and milk, the JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa is certainly unlike anything you’ll experience at home.

For travelers looking for an exclusively native spa experience, Temazcal is an indigenous Aztec steam bath treatment said to renew the body, mind and spirit. Performed on hot stones with aromatic herbs, the Temazcal treatments are performed in cloth huts on the beach at sunset. As a traditional form of therapy, Temazcal could be likened to certain aspects of the Turkish bath, Finnish sauna or Arabian hammam. Having been practiced for centuries by tribes throughout North and Latin America, the term “Temazcal” is derived from the Nahuatl (Aztec) terms, “temaz” (bath) and “calli” (house). Several beach resorts also offer more traditionally romantic moonlit massages in outdoor cabanas or secluded terraces, allowing guests to enjoy luxurious relaxation in a gorgeous environment with spectacular ocean ambience and vistas.

As you are in Cancun, you will probably want to indulge in some adventurous Mexican cuisine. Many internationally-trained chefs employed in Cancun are well-versed in both local cuisine and cutting edge techniques. Within the Hotel Zone, you will find the most adventurous dishes, with many chefs offering Mayan flavors with a unique European flourish. Most restaurants within the Hotel Zone and downtown Cancun will have menus in English, so there is no need to worry about a culinary language barrier. There are plenty of adventurous cafés both downtown and within the Hotel Zone, but fresh steak and seafood are always available as luxury staples. Take a stroll down the Avenida Tulum if you are looking for a sidewalk café to enjoy some sun and people watching.

Furthermore, with over 1,200 restaurants in Cancun, there is certainly a lot to savor.

The shopping options in Cancun are almost as limitless. With a number of shopping centers containing all of the world’s finest retailers, you will find everything you have seen in the magazines at prices below similar stores in the U.S. The Plaza Caracol ? the largest of these shopping centers ? houses over 200 boutiques and galleries with everything from unique local arts and crafts to European couture. After browsing the racks at Ralph Lauren and Gucci, settle down in one of the complex’s many elegant cafes for lunch or a quick snack.

The most luxurious shopping center in Cancun is probably the 500,000 square-foot Plaza Kukulkán. In addition to all types of great local products, all the best stores like Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo and Rolex are located within this sprawling mall. When you are ready to unwind after an exciting day of shopping, there are also plenty of great restaurants and bars in this area of the city.

Imagine how great it will feel to check into one of the beautiful Torrevieja hotels and beginning your relaxing vacation in Spain.
Choosing this wonderful resort vacation in the Costa Blanca, you can ensure a great travel experience. One great thing is that you can get to the region quite easily from the Alicante Airport, where you’ll likely be landing to begin your time there.

This spot gives you the chance to both bask in the sun, as well as enjoy a spectrum of activities, including sightseeing, golf, water sports, theme parks and water attractions, and much more. There is a ton of things to do right in this one area of Spain, which makes it a highly convenient place to consider going. Your schedule will certainly be full of diversity, as well as relaxing and enriching to rid your mind of its many worries.

The resort is high and full of much energy that has it’s very own unique atmosphere, and gives you a great chance to enjoy the Spanish culture that you can’t normally get on many other vacations. People from many different places come to enjoy this area from all over the world, but the area is mostly popular to vacationers from Europe.

Right now while you’re just planning your vacation to Torrevieja, you’re probably wondering what kind of good deals you can get on hotels and travel fares. This is definitely important since getting a great deal can leave you with much more spending money to enjoy your vacation. There’s nothing worse than going to a beautiful vacation and having to worry about your spending so much that you can’t even enjoy your time there.

Getting an excellent deal on your flight is pretty simple when you consider that these days the Internet is right at your fingertips to do so. The web is full of various websites that will help you find great deals on flight accommodations. As stated earlier you’ll want to book your flight into Alicante Airport since this is very close to your destination of the Torrevieja resort. The Internet allows you to make side by side comparisons on flight prices, that you can’t normally see by going through a travel agent. However, using a travel agent is sometimes a very good idea as well, to make sure that your arrangements are made correctly. They often have people who specialize in vacation spots in Spain, and can help you considerably.

Some of the things you’ll want to know or consider before hand are the dates, your budget or what you’re willing to spend, and what type of hotel accommodations that you’ll be looking for. This is good to know ahead of time because it will save you and the agent you’re working with time.

Once all of the details are finished, and everything is booked you can then look forward to your vacation where you’ll be enjoying the sun, the beaches, and the wonderful Spanish Culture of Torrevieja.

The wealthy Mughals who built the Taj Mahal and ruled India from 1526-1707 surrounded themselves with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and pearls which became an integral and dazzling part of their lives. Discerning and culture rulers, they supported many and varied artists, enabling them to produce jewelry, paintings, and household items in conditions that allowed them not only
financial freedom but the time to create their masterpieces.

The abundance of gems in India was so great the skill of these men raised everyday objects into works of art. Wherever a Mughal looked, beauty abounded. Even a lowly crutch top would be carved of jade and inset with gold and gems. In a village it would be made of wood. A Mughal backscratcher was made from jade with silver and gilded bronze fittings rather than formed from a base metal.

Mughals moved enameled game pieces around boards even as villagers used simpler pieces of more natural ingredients. A bowl? It could be rock crystal with gilded silver mounts in a palace and a tinned alloy in humble huts. Rich and poor alike smoked the water pipe (huqqa), but the bulbous water storage of the villager’s huqqa might be brass, while in a palace it was beaten gold or inlaid nephrite jade. Cups, pots, spittoons and oil lamps were also carved from jade for the wealthy Mughals. Commonly used items were adorned with gems and shaped with graceful curves, scallops and flutes.

Indian artisans developed an exclusive process allowing them to set stones in a wide variation of patterns. They mounted diamonds, rubies, and emeralds into imaginative designs and catapulted this art form to a level previously unseen.

Jewelry was a natural display for gems. Wealthy women wore not only wrist bracelets, ankle bracelets and necklaces, but also arm bands, hair ornaments and forehead ornaments. Rings graced their ears, fingers and toes. The men wore arm bands, turban ornaments, pendants, amulets, and highly decorative daggers tucked into their cummerbunds.

Flamboyant as Mughal jewelry was, the unseen side was frequently finished handsomely enough to be displayed. One such example is a pendant set with rubies and diamonds to resemble a bird with the reverse side fully engraved in a more realistic representation of the same feathered creature.

One particular technique most definitely linked to the Mughals and their jewelry making is enameling. The finest of its kind in the world was created in the Royal Art Schools by talented and expressive artists. Europeans who brought the rudimentary version of enameling to India were soon outdistanced by Mughal-era Indians who took the process to undeniably higher levels. Imperial workshops created a constant stream of cups, rings, armbands, gaming pieces, pendants, daggers, boxes, swords, bracelets, toe rings, mouthpieces for a water pipe hoses, etc., from enamel of breathtaking quality.

Ivory, jade and rock crystal were frequently inlaid with scrolled gold which was in turn inlaid with high quality precious stones. It was not unusual for items to exhibit a combination of materials and techniques.

Gold and silver were hammered together into intricate designs that then gave a rich sheen to huqqas, jewelry, daggers, necklaces, pendants and battle items including axes, shields, and gun barrel rests.

Items both inside and outside the palace were transformed by the artists’ hand and eye. The jewelers of the Mughals most certainly created the Midas Touch for their sovereigns.

Although Reno, Nevada was the gambling capital of the United States before the 1960s, the rapid expansion and growth of Las Vegas has caused a severe downturn in the Reno gaming industry. Added to Reno’s troubles are also the high rate of growth in California’s Indian gaming sector, while American Airlines’ buyout of Reno Air caused the area to become downgraded to an airport ‘spoke’ rather than a central hub ? meaning that fewer and fewer people would be directed to Reno on their regular flight path.

Since American Airlines’ complete disposal of the Reno Air fleet in 2001, many old casinos in the city have been either closed or torn down. Famous names such as the Mapes, Harold’s Club, Nevada Club, and Palace Club are now only empty lots, while smaller casinos such as the Riverboat, King’s Inn, Golden Phoenix, Cornstock, Virginian, Money Tree, and the Sundowner exist only in memory ? abandoned buildings rest where a bustling swath of casinos once cut their way through the center of town.

There are currently only two local casinos which have experienced any amount of significant growth, and these are the Atlantis Casino and The Peppermill. In 2005, the Peppermill began a $300-million expansion project on their hotel, intending to create a Tuscan-style atmosphere and theme ? including such things as a 600-room hotel tower completely composed of suites, as well as a resort-style pool complex, restaurants, lounges, and 62,000 sq.ft. of convention space. In fact, the Peppermill was also named the most outstanding Reno gaming property by both Nevada and Casino Player magazines.

Fortunately for the area, although gaming has certainly decreased, the city has moved toward holding larger events throughout the course of the year, which have been received with great success. Events such as the classic car convention and rally called ‘Hot August Nights’, as well as an annual ‘Great Reno Balloon Race’ each September, have greatly increased tourism to the area and has seen a move toward revitalization of Reno’s downtown. The city is slowly becoming friendlier to tourists, and it is hoped that this trend will continue as Reno’s annual events grow even larger each year.

After checking out all the websites we could find of places on Koh Tao, there was one place that we really liked the look of, and that was the Jamahkiri Resort & Spa, but what clinched it for us, was a friend of a friend who had stayed there, and said it was fabulous.

What we found was a very plush resort, with everything you could ask for in a bigger resort, just kind of scaled down.

It overlooks the beautiful Shark Bay, and the Jamahkiri could best be described as a treasure. It is totally isolated and the bay it is itself in, is quite unspoilt. The room was everything we hoped it would be, in a pavilion style, with Thai décor, with spa-bath, flat screen TV, DVD player, safe, and neat balcony overlooking the bay.

Most importantly the bed was comfortable, with the kind of linen sheets that just feels quality!!
Although there is no beach as such, there is a pier, and you can snorkel here, the snorkelling isn’t bad at all, or take a kayak and go exploring.

If you want to go diving, then a short walk along the shore to the next cove will bring you to three or four diving schools.

The food in the restaurant was excellent, if a little limited, and the service from the staff extremely good indeed,.

The spa with good reason is rated the best on the island, so altogether a very relaxing place, but your leg muscles will need to be good, because of the walking up and down you will do.

We would certainly recommend the Jamhakiri Resort & Spa as a honeymoon destination, and for couples but not enough for families with small children.

Please however be aware that The Jamahkiri Resort & Spa is only really accessible why four wheel drive vehicles, and if you want to eat out in town, then it’s free to get there but the last free lift back is 8.30pm, and it is a very bumpy twenty minute ride down what is no more than a track.

This isolation, whilst it is attractive, you do need to escape in the evenings because the dinner menu becomes repetitive.
