It’s time to ad Mississippi back to our travel destination, for both business and pleasure. Katrina really put a wallop in the Mississippi economy so it’s time now to support the rebuilding effort along with the local economy.

If you are like me, you may find it hard to determine just where to go in Mississippi. Unlike New Orleans in Louisiana, or Orlando in Florida, Mississippi doesn’t have a marquis destination.  But, this is the good news!! It will be good for a change to travel to somewhere that is not mobbed with tourists our mouse ears. (more…)

When traveling to Las Vegas it is important to check all kinds of different things, including hotels, hiking, recreation and entertainment for the whole family. Las Vegas was for a long time the adults playground.  Las Vegas was and is the gambling and drinking capitol of the world, and it was just about as Wild West as you could get in the twentieth century.  But in the last 20 years Las Vegas has changed into a large amusement park for the whole family. There is such a wide variety of things to do inside and outside of Las Vegas apart from gambling, that it would be a shame to pass up the opportunity to see some of the beautiful sites around the area.

1) Think location.  A hotel that is located directly on the strip will end up being much higher in price than a hotel just off the strip.  Really, glamour is nice, but saving a couple of extra hundred dollars in the long run will allow you the opportunity to do some great things that had not been originally accounted for. Goa is the smallest state in India and the former Portugal colony. Portuguese merchants first landed in Goa in the 16th century and very soon colonised it. The Portuguese colony existed for approximately 450 years, until it became a part of India in 1961. Some people consider Goa the most beautiful place in Asia or, even, in the whole world. Goa is the embodiment of the paradise on the Earth! Blue ocean, white beaches, palms and all the tropical exotic combined with the traces of Indian history make this place one the centres of the attraction in India.

From the October here begins high tourist season – monsoons have already finished but the heat is not as intolerable as in spring. So it’s just the time to visit this peace of heaven in one the biggest countries in the world! Goa is separated in two parts – Northern and Southern. (more…)

Every American (okay, every human for that matter) owes it to him/herself to head to Arizona and visit the Grand Canyon at least once in their lifetimes. It’s truly amazing to see how a little trickle of water eventually turned into the Colorado River, which eventually carved out the Grand Canyon.

You can approach your trip to the Grand Canyon in a couple different ways. One way is to stay within the park at one of the lodges on the South Rim and take time to experience all the different things the park has to offer. The other way is to stay in one of the surrounding Arizona towns and take a day trip to the Grand Canyon for a “hit and run” view of the Canyon.  Both have their plusses. (more…)
